Maggie, I just cannot figure out how this works. My daughter and I occasionally write poems together but I can't figure out what you are working on or how to participate. I see these apparently compleated poems but do not see any obviously in progress.
Sue Young's THE NEW COMPREHENSIVE AMERICAN RHYMING DICTIONARY is the most helpful volume I know. It's under ten dollars in paper last time I bought it. I invite you to visit my site at jamiesonspoetry.com (click on Poem for the Week) to see how I use it.
The most interesting approach, I think, is to look up a number of random words that rhyme with the prior line's end word, and chose one that's surprising to the eye, and then use it to complete the next line. This will lead you in all kinds of new creative directions and it will positively solve any problems with writer's block!

You pinged me back in December but honestly, I wasn't sure what to do with it! I'm still finding my way around Gather and I've been too busy in other things to do much investigating as to how everything works. I love to write and so that is what I do .. mostly to hear my self talking .. as they say. I just now discovered that I have a profile section on Gather. I mean, I saw the word "Profile" but just never took the time to do anything with it. Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you.
I'd love to rent a cottage in the Cotswold (SW) for a time, then time in Wales and Snowdonia National Park before moving up to Yorkshire. Wallow in it and eat my own cooking-most of the time. Though I love England, the English cook book is the smallest book in the world.
Then a few days/weeks in Scotland, picnics on a cliff, examine Castles and Cathedrals and stroll the countryside.
